ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to investigate the matter with respect to offences made out in Crime No.1735/2017 on the file of the first respondent and to file the Charge Sheet against the petitioner.

2. The case of the petitioner is that she worked as Head Mistress in Government High School at Thirupachur, Thiruvallur District and a case has been registered as against the petitioner and three others in Crime No.1735 of 2017 for offences under sections 406 and 420 of IPC alleging that they had collected a sum of Rs.29,30,000/- from 104 persons for availing tenements. Though very many grounds have been raised in the petition, the main grievance

of the petitioner is that even after eight years of registration of the First Information Report, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, the present petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] on instructions submitted that the investigation is in progress and the respondent will complete investigation and file the final report within a period of four weeks.

4. In view of the submissions of the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side], the respondent is directed to complete investigation and file the final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
