Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Declaration declaring the election result to the post of Vice President for Madras High Court Advocates Association, 2016 as defective, illegal null and void and against the bye-laws of the Madras High Court Advocates Association and consequently directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to conduct re-election/fresh election to the post of Vice President for Madras High Court Advocates Association.

Mr.R.Murali, who is the petitioner is present before this Court and expressed his inclination to withdraw the Writ Petition, as the tenure of the elected office bearers of the Madras High Court Advocates' Association is almost over, which is going to end by October 2018. The learned counsel for the petitioner has also made an endorsement to that effect.
2. In view of the representation and endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
