ORDER
The petitioner herein apprehending arrest by the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 468, 471, 420 and 506 (2) of I.P.C., in connection with Cr.No.16 of 2025, is before this Court seeking anticipatory bail.
2.The sum and substance of the case is that the ancestral property of the defacto-complainant
has been grabbed by the accused persons by impersonation and forging the documents. Dr.G. JAYACHANDRAN, J.
3.However, the petitioner states that he is a purchaser for valuable consideration through a power of attorney, in which the defacto-complainant is one of the signatories. Therefore, he submits that the complaint is devoid of truth and therefore the petitioner to be granted anticipatory bail.
4.The counsel further submits that the civil proceedings have concluded holding that the property purchased by the petitioner is not ancestral property. 5.The learned counsel for the petitioner try to give a civil colour to the dispute, whereas there is a specific allegation of impersonation and forgery. The respondent Police is therefore directed to secure the suspected persons and collect documents to verify the transfer of property been done genuinely or by impersonation and forgery. With these observations, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
