Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.10.2016 and to divide the wards of the Tiruppur Corporation according to the population and area and to conduct Local body election thereafter.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We called upon the learned counsel for the petitioner to show to us the objects with which the petitioner Association, which is a Consumer Welfare Council, has been set up. On a perusal of the same, it does not show anything related with the subject matter in issue. We are thus not inclined to entertain this petition filed by the petitioner.
2. We, however, make it clear that this will not preclude the third respondent from examining the representation dated 27.10.2016 sent by the petitioner.
The petition is dismissed with the aforesaid observation. No costs.
