The Writ Petition is filed seeking a mandamus to the respondent to consider and dispose the representation dated 12.08.2022 and 10.08.2024 sent by the petitioner to issue patta in her favour for the land measuring an extent of 0.22 cents comprised in Survey No.66 /2 (side), situated at No.12 Unamancheri Village, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpet District.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that she had purchased a land measuring an extent of 0.22 cents comprised in S.No.66/2 (side), situated at No.12, Unamancheri Village, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpet, from one Pushpam Ammal. The petitioner would submit that the said 2/6

Pushpam Ammal purchased the larger extent of land measuring 0.52 cents from one Kannammal. Thereafter, the said Pushpam Ammal executed two sale deeds. One in favour of the petitioner with respect of 0.22 cents and the remaining extent of 0.30 cents to one Sathiyanathan.

3. On 03.08.2020, the petitioner made a representation to the RDO, Chengalpet. The RDO, Chengalpet, by proceedings dated 31.08.2020 directed the respondent to conduct an enquiry. However, there was no response on the side of the respondent. Once again the petitioner sent a representations dated 21.07.2022 and 12.08.2022. The same yielded no response.

4. On 10.08.2024, once again the petitioner sent a representation to the respondent. Since there is no response the petitioner has filed the Writ Petition.

5. Heard the learned counsels on the either side and perused the records.

6. Considering the limited request, the Writ Petition is allowed. The respondent is directed to consider the representations from 03.08.2020 and pass order to issue patta in favour of the petitioner. In case of a rejection, a speaking order shall be passed. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
