The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to pay and disburse the entire compensation due to the petitioner in respect of the lands to an extent of 1 Kani, 10 Kuzhis and 15 Veesams in R.S.No.142/6 in Village No.38, Saaram Revenue Village, Puducherry, which were acquired under the Urban Land Ceiling Act in light of the petitioner's representation dated 06.01.2016 in accordance with law. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's husband was the owner of the subject property and it was acquired under the Urban Land Ceiling Act and 25% of the compensation was paid to her husband during the year 1992. Thereafter, the petitioner's husband died. Since the balance amount was not paid, the petitioner made representation to the respondents seeking to disburse the entire compensation and since the same has not yet been considered, has filed this writ petition.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that only 25% of the compensation amount has been disbursed during the year 1992 and the balance amount is yet to be disbursed. Hence, this Court may issue direction to the first respondent to disburse the entire compensation due to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 06.01.2016, within a reasonable time frame.
4.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.01.2016, on merits and in accordance with law and to disburse the compensation amount due to the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if the same has not yet been disbursed. 5.This writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
