O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioners to carry on fishing operations without any let or hindrance from any quarter on the basis of the representation dated 2/10/2017.

2. From the materials available on record what could be seen is that the petitioners had submitted a representation to the second respondent on 2/10/2017 to provide Police protection to the petitioners to carry on the fishing operations without any hindrance from any quarter. Since the representation has not been disposed of so far, the petitioners have come forward with the present Criminal Original Petition praying for the relief as stated therein.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

4. The petitioners have submitted the representation during the year 2017. Having passed four years, this Court is of the view that nothing survives for further adjudication at present. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
