The petitioner has sought for compensation for the Teak Wood trees, which stood in his land were acquired along with the Well. The compensation was not quantified and paid presumably on the ground that the valuation is not forthcoming from the Forest Department.
Therefore, the petitioner has made representation to the respondents on 19.10.2016 and the same is pending consideration. Hence, the present petition.
2. The acquisition has been made by completion of the Award in the year 2010. Till now, the valuation has not been fixed. The petitioner cannot be faulted for it. It is the duty of the third respondent to see to it that the valuation is fixed and paid.
3. In such view of the matter, a direction is issued to the third respondent to take appropriate steps to fix the valuation and see to it that the petitioner is paid adequate compensation as stated by her in and by the letter dated 28.01.2016 before the Free
Legal Aid Authority, Kallakurichi, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
