ORDER
The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.09.2022 and to issue an Patta in favour of the petitioner in property situated at Sirudhavur Village, Tiruporur Taluk, Kancheepuam District, Natham S.No.71/2 & New S.No.638/19 extent of land 2 1⁄2 Cents, within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the grama natham land at Sirudhavur village, Tiruporur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, Natham Ols Survey No. 71/2 & New S.No.638/19 extent of land 2 1⁄2 Cents originally purchased by petitioner's father by virtue of a Sale Deed registered as Doc.No.1156 of 1976 dated22.09.1976, on the file of SRO, Tiruporur.
After the demise of the petitioner's father, the petitioner is in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the property till date. Thereafter, the petitioner gave a representation dated 27.09.2022 to the respondents for issuance of patta in favour of the petitioner, whereas, the said representation was considered by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.
3.Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.09.2022, for issuance of patta in favour of the petitioner and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame fixed by this Court.
4.Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that if any direction is given by this Court, the same will be complied with.
5.Heard learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
6.In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.09.2022, for issuance of patta in favour of the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law and pass 3/5
appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
