PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition has been filed under section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the respondent police to file the final report in crime No.226 of 2023 dated 19.07.2023 on the file of the Vettavalam Police Station, Tiruvannamalai District.

ORDER
The petition to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.226 of 2023 is on the premise that for incident which took place on 14.09.2019, murderous attack by the members of unlawful Page No.1/4
assembly armed with weapon, the police failed to register a complaint and only after long battle, case was registered in Crime No.226 of 2023 for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 447, 294(b), 323, 324, 307 and 506(ii) of IPC on 19.07.2023. Even thereafter, it is alleged that there is no progress in the investigation.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) on perusal of the CD file submitted that after registering the FIR, the accused persons have obtained anticipatory bail and reporting before the Judicial Magistrate, Tiruvannamalai daily as per the bail condition. The investigation is taken up and will be positively completed within a period of four month.
3. Considering the nature of the complaint and delay in registering the FIR, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of three months. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
