The petitioner was arrested on 21.07.2025, pursuant to the complaint given by one Arivalagan/defacto-complainant to the respondent Police for the alleged offence under Sections 126(2), 296(b), 115(2), 189(2), 109 of BNS r/w. 249(b), 49 of BNS @ 126(2), 296(b), 115(2), 189(2), 103(1) of BNS r/w. Sections 249 and 49 of BNS in Cr.No.109 of 2025.
2. It is a case where the petitioner has voluntarily surrendered before the Magistrate at Vaniyambadi, after committing the murder. Now, he would plead that he is an innocent person and seeks bail.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent Police states that it is a pre-planned murder to take revenge of earlier murder, and the petitioner and the other accused committed grave offence and the investigation is at the initial stage.
4. Considering the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) and the fact that the investigation is at the initial stage and 2/4
that if the petitioner is released on bail, he would tamper the evidence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 18.08.2025 ssb Note :
