O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 05.07.2024 for canceling the Legal Heirship Certificate of late Mr.Thulukkanam issued by the second respondent, vide his proceeding in Pa.Mu.(A1).No.9856/2000 dated 15.11.2000 in favour of the respondents 3 to 6 and pass appropriate order within a time stipulated by this Court.

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 05.07.2024 to cancel the forged Legal Heirship Certificate of late Mr.Thulukkanam dated 15.11.2000 issued by the second respondent in favour of the respondents 3 to 6 and issue a fresh Legal Heirship Certificate of late Mr.Thulukkanam, who is none other than the grandfather of the petitioner by including the name of the petitioner, however, the same has not been disposed of so far. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the first respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal of the petitioner, dated 05.07.2024 on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.

4. The learned Additional Advocate General assisted by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first and second

respondents has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to consider the appeal of the petitioner, dated 05.07.2024 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
