The petitioner claims that his vehicle bearing registration No.TN 22 DC 6635 was stolen on 09.03.2017 within the jurisdiction of the first respondent police.

2. Though he lodged a complaint on 09.03.2017, which has been registered in Crime No.968 of 2017, till date the vehicle is yet to be recovered. In this back ground, the petitioner has filed the present petition. http://www.judis.nic.in

3. Since the complaint was lodged in the month of March 2017, it would be appropriate to direct the first respondent to expedite the investigation and file a final report.

4. Considering the facts and circumstance of the case, this Court directs the first respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.968 of 2017 pending on his file and file a final report within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
