Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 27.03.2024 pending on the file of the respondent within a stipulated time frame as prescribed by this Court. O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to dispose of his appeal dated 27.03.2024.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondent, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he is the absolute owner of the property situated in S.No.5/2 with an extent of 2 acre 29 cents and S.No.210/4, with an extent of 14 cents, situated in Badathepalli Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District. The petitioner filed an application before the Tahsildar, Hosur on 19.07.2022 and the same was dismissed. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the Sub Collector, Hosur and the same was also dismissed by the appellant authority on 26.02.2024. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed a revision before the respondent on 27.03.2024 and the same is still pending without any progress. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Mr.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice 2/4

for the respondent would submit that the revision filed by the petitioner would be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed.

5. In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the respondent to dispose of the revision filed by the petitioner dated 27.03.2024 and pass final orders, after issuing notice to the petitioner and other interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
