For Petitioner : Mr.Ramasamy Meyyappan for (in both Cont.Ps) Mr.G.S.Shivekumar For Respondents : Mr.P.Kavitha (in both Cont.Ps) Government Advocate COMMON ORDER The petitioner had filed two writ petitions in W.P.No.44497 of 2016 and W.P.No.4498 of 2017 for the writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to quash the order of the second respondent dated 30.11.2016/2.12.2016 cancelling the allotment of constitution of exam centre and to direct the second respondent to allot the Constitution of Exam Centre to the petitioner is good for the X and XII and for such other incident relief.
2. By an interim order dated 25.1.2017 in W.M.P.Nos.38323 &38324/2016 in these writ petitions, the petitioner school was permitted to be a centre for writing public exam for the 10thand 12th class students and that the first and second respondents in the writ petitions were directed to give necessary/further orders pertaining to the petitioner to be a centre for students who are writing exams as they have preliminary approval for the same. The order was subject to final outcome of the writ petitions. 2/3
3. These contempt petitions have been filed to punish the respondents for violating the said order of this Court. However, it is noticed that the said writ petitions itself were dismissed as infructous on 1.3.2018 recording nothing survived for adjudication. In view of the dismissal of the writ petitions, these contempt petitions also deserve to be closed.
4. Accordingly, these contempt petitions are closed. Consequently, connected sub applications are also closed.
