ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the 2nd respondent to release the vehicle bearing registration No.TN 20 AY 0202, Chassis No.357514DUZ 800, Engine No.497SPTC 35 DUZ83 forthwith which was seized by the 1st Respondent in Crime No.208 of 2022 dated 23.07.2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Pursuant to the registration of the FIR, in Crime No.208 of 2022 for the offence under Section 6(4) of TNSC RDCS Order 1982 read with 7(i)(a)(ii) of EC Act, 1955, the vehicle bearing Registration No.TN 20 AY 0202 has been seized by the 1st respondent and the same was handed over to the Revenue Divisional Officer. Now the confiscation proceeding is pending. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered and the writ petition is devoid merits.
