The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 12.062024, for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 8 (c), 22(c),25 and 29(1) of NDPS Act in Crime No.714 of 2024, on the file of the respondent police, seek bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were in possession of 55 grams of methamphetamine which is a commercial quantity. Hence the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the petitioner is an innocent and a false case has been foisted against him. He would further submit that the petitioner is no way connected with the said occurrence.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would contend that the quantity involved in this case is commercial in nature. He further submitted that investigation is in progress. Hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner. 1/3

5.Heard both side and perused the materials available on record. 6.Considering the fact that the quantity involved in this case is commercial in nature and the investigation has not yet been completed, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
