The petitioner seeks a direction to the 2nd respondent to defreeze the petitioner's savings Account no.0411495068, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Velachery Branch, Chennai - 42 based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.06.2025 forthwith.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the respondents and perused the documents placed on record.

3. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that his account has been frozen, on the request made by the 4th respondent 2/5

/Assistant Commissioner of Police. The disputed amount is Rs.18 lakhs. According to the petitioner only Rs.11 Lakhs is the disputed amount and the petitioner has received Rs.18 Lakhs from the Ex-staff and the 3rd respondent also claims another sum of Rs.7 Lakhs now. Further, the petitioner, at present, has only a sum of Rs.1,000/- in his account and he is ready to deposit a sum of Rs.18 Lakhs with the 2nd respondent / Kotak Mahindra Bank Account No.0411495068 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The said statement is recorded.

Let the petitioner deposit the said amount within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order and since the sum of Rs.18 Lakhs itself is the disputed amount and the petitioner undertakes to deposit the same in Savings Account No.0411495068, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Velachery Branch, let the bank shall have lien over that account and after having lien over a sum of Rs.18 Lakhs, this account and rest of the accounts of the petitioner may be allowed to be operated by the petitioner.
