ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's 1/4

representation dated 17.08.2022.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner claims to be the owner of the lands situated at Survey No.71/11, Old Survey No.71 (part), No.35, Sathangudi Village, Tharangambadi Taluk, Mayiladuthurai District admeasuring to an extent of 4888 square feet. Hence, the petitioner approached the third respondent for issuance of patta under UDR scheme which was rejected and the petitioner made a request to the second respondent for issuance of patta in respect of the above natham lands which is pending without consideration. Hence, this petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner confines his prayer to the effect of seeking issuance of direction from this Court to the respondents for considering and passing appropriate order(s) on the petitioner's representation dated 17.08.222 within a time frame stipulated by this Court.

4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of this case and having regard to the submissions of the learned counsel, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation for issuance of patta under UDR scheme for the natham lands situated at Survey No.71/11, Old Survey No.71 (part), No.35, Sathangudi Village, Tharangambadi Taluk, Mayiladuthurai District admeasuring to an extent of 4888 square feet, on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as any other parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
