This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the third respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents. 3.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that on the complaint given by one Srinivasan the petitioner is being harassed by the third respondent police. It is further submitted that the said Srinivasan had executed a Sale Deed in respect of the property measuring an extent of 3924 sq.ft., comprising vacant land and a house in Survey No.406/1A3A in Keelkondaraiyar Village, Avadi Taluk, Tiruvallur District on 30.03.2022, for a total sale consideration of Rs.18,05,000/-. Despite the said Srinivasan had executed the Sale Deed after receiving the total sale consideration, he had made a false complaint, on which the petitioner is being called up for enquiry unnecessarily. It is further learnt that the petitioner had attended enquiry before the third respondent police on 31.10.2022. 2/4

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner did not appear for enquiry as stated by him. It is further submitted that on the complaint given by one Srinivasan, current paper enquiry has been initiated in C.S.R.No.1613 of 2022.

In view of the above, I feel it is appropriate to direct third respondent police to complete the enquiry in C.S.R.No.1613 of 2022 in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
