PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to call for the entire records connected with order or rejection passed by the 2nd respondent Na.Ka.No.177/SPGDP/KA THU KA/ E NA U/17, dated 25.11.2017 and quash the same consequently, direct the respondents to grand permission to petitioner's organization for conduct an Vehicle Rally in order to prevent the pollution in Cauvery River and also to remove the encroachment in Kani Ravuthar Pond and to create awareness to protect water bodies on 03.12.2017 at 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. from Vairapalayam Cauvery Bant to Kani Ravuthar Pond with the support of Public and "Kani Ravuthar Kulam Meetpu Iyakkam"by considering the Petitioner's representation dated 06.11.2017.

O R D E R

This Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to to grant permission to conduct a Vehicle Rally dated 03.12.2017, based on the representation made by the petitioner dated 06.11.2017.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the Vehicle rally commencing date has been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous.

3. Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
