This petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.6 of 2016 on the file of the first respondent police, for offences under Sections 147, 148, 341, 294(b) and 506(ii) of IPC, as against the petitioners.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the first respondent police has completed the investigation in Crime No.6 of 2016 and also filed a charge sheet before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ponneri.

3. Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructous. However, considering the case of the year 2016, the trial Court is directed to complete the trial proceedings within a period of three months from the date of the receipt of a copy of this Order.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
