Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to take action in pursuance of the representation of the petitioner dated 13.09.2023 against the occupants present in the petitioner's premises by restraining them from operating business without a valid licence.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to take action based on the representation of the petitioner dated 13.09.2023 against the occupants present in the petitioner's premises at No.98(339) Arcot Road, Kodambakkam, Chennai 600 024, by restraining them from operating business, without trading license from the respondent's corporation.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that based on the petitioner's representation , notice has already been issued to the occupants of the building who are all carrying on business without trading license. The said statement of the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent's corporation is recorded.

3. Therefore, no further orders are necessary in this Writ Petition except to say that the respondent's corporation shall take further action in pursuance of the notice issued by them to the occupants of the premises in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
