By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was initially engaged as Sweeper from the year 1993 in the Thellar Panchayat Union in Vandavasi Block, Tiruvannamalai District. As per G.O.Ms.No.385 dated 01.10.2010 the services of daily rated employee working in Panchayats and other local bodies shall be regularised in time scale of pay on completion of three years of service. Based on the said Government order, 10,000 people were regularised. Thereafter the fourth respondent forwarded the proposal for regularisation of the petitioner to the second respondent. Till date the proposal has not been considered by the second respondent. Therefore, the petitioner made representation to the second respondent, which has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition.
3.Heard both sides.
4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.09.2019 and pass orders, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.
5.Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.09.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
