Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.09.2019 for approving his appointment as Secretary of 4th respondent Society.

O R D E R

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.09.2019 for approving his appointment as Secretary of 4th respondent Society.

2. The petitioner was appointed as Secretary on temporary basis by the 4th respondent based on the resolution of the board dated 17.09.2019. Thereafter, the 4th respondent had sent a letter to the 2nd respondent for approval of an appointment of the petitioner and the same is pending before the 2nd respondent. On 23.09.2019, the petitioner has made a representation to the 2nd respondent for approving his appointment as a Secretary. However, till date the said representation was not considered. Hence, the Writ Petition has been filed.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice to issue direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the representation dated 23.09.2019 in accordance with law.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the representation dated 23.09.2019, if not disposed already, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
