[ RESPONDENTS ] Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent herein to refer the petitioner's matter before the competent Court relating to award in Na. Ka. No. 14252/2008 F1 dt 30.4.2013 under section 19 (3) read with 19 (6) of Tamil Nadu Highways Act 2001 for determination of enhanced compensation in which the petitioner gave representation to respondents on 16.6.2013.

With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

Heard Mr.Veraragavan, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.M.Muthukumar, learned Additional Government Pleader accepting notice for the respondents. 3.The petitioner's lands have been acquired for the purpose of forming six line Highways. In this Writ Petition, the petitioner seeks for a direction upon the first respondent to consider his request for enhanced compensation. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.It is seen that the petitioner has given a representation/Appeal Petition to the first respondent on 12.06.2013, which has been received in the Office of the first respondent on 19.06.2013, vide the acknowledgement seal affixed in the Appeal Petition. Thereafter, the petitioner has sent one more representation on 16.06.2013 and forwarded the same by 'Speed Post' on 19.06.2013. However, till date the said representation has not been considered.

5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the first respondent may be granted reasonable time to consider the petitioner's representation.

6.In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the matter, there will be a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2013 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
