Prayer : Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner under the pretext of enquiry by the 2nd respondent. For Petitioner : Mr.H.Kalpana For Respondent : Mr.S.Santhosh Government Advocate (crl.side)

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents. 3.The petitioner is an ex-employee of a company namely Unic Care Technologies; the said company has given a complaint to the respondent police by alleging that some of the cheques in the custody of the petitioner were missing.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that in the guise of enquiry, he is being harassed by the police every now and then.

5. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents submitted that since the case has been given on the allegation

that the cheques were missing, CSR No.836 of 2022 has been assigned and the enquiry is in progress.

6.In view of the pending CSR, I feel it is appropriate to direct the 2nd respondent police to complete the enquiry in CSR No.836 of 2022, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and do the needful in accordance with law. While enquiring the complaint, the 2nd respondent police shall not harass the petitioner by adopting any third degree methods.

7.With the above direction and observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
