Heard Mr. M.Selvam, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner, Mr. P.Balathandayutham, Learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the First Respondent and Mr. C.Harsha Raj, Learned Counsel, who takes notice for the Second Respondent, and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties. 2.

The Writ Petition has been filed for directing the Respondent to dispose the application dated 20.10.2022 made by the Petitioner for granting permission to him to erect a tap for extracting drinking water near the compound wall of his property.

It is brought to notice by Learned Counsel for the Respondents that the pipe line for drinking water has been laid by the Village Panchayat, which has not been made as a party to the Writ Petition. In such circumstances, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that the Petitioner would make necessary representation in that regard to concerned authority and seeks permission of the Court to withdraw the Writ Petition reserving the rights of the Petitioner to 2/4

pursue for appropriate relief, if necessity arises, in the manner recognized by law and he has made an endorsement to that effect in the court record. In view of the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the aforesaid clarifications. No costs.
