Prayer in W.P.No.29177 of 2019:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 to approve the appointment of the petitioner as B.T. Assistant (English) in the 5th respondent school, w.e.f., 22.09.2017 with all consequential monetary benefits, on the basis of the proposal submitted by the fourth respondent dated 21.09.2017.
Prayer in W.P.No.29179 of 2019:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 to approve the appointment of the petitioner as P.G. Assistant (Chemistry) in the 5th respondent school, w.e.f., 21.01.2018 with all consequential monetary benefits, on the basis of the proposal submitted by the fourth respondent dated 20.01.2018. For Petitioner in all W.P.'s : Mr.B.Gopalakrishnan For Respondents in all W.P.'s. : Mr.C.Munusamy, Special Government Pleader(Education) COMMON O R D E R By consent, these writ petitions are taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2.The case of the petitioners is that the petitioners joined as B.T.Assistant (Maths), B.T.Assistant (English) and P.G.Assistant (Chemistry) in the fifth respondent school concerned on 22.09.2017 and 21.01.2018 respectively. After the appointment, the Secretary of the School Committee forwarded the said appointment for approval. But till date the respondents 2 and 3 have not considered the approval of the petitioners' appointment. Hence, the petitioners have filed the present petitions.
3.Heard both sides.
4.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the approval of the petitioners' appointment and pass orders, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.
5.Though the petitioners have sought for a larger relief, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the proposal sent by the fourth respondent for approving the petitioners' appointment and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, if school committee is available.
6.With the above direction, these writ petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
