O R D E R

Heard Mr. V. P.K.Gowtham, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. K.karthikeyan, Learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the Respondents and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

The grievance ventilated by the Petitioner is that he had made an application bearing P.R.No. 4634 before the First Respondent for recognizing his right to perform the Kattalai on lighting Deepam festival at Adhi Moolasthanam before the commencement of the Annual Karthigai Deepam festival in Arulmigu Subramaniyasamy Temple, Maruthamalai, Coimbatore District, but as it did not evoke any response, he filed this Writ Petition. 3.

Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents, on instructions, states that the said application has been taken on file and posted for hearing on 07.11.2023 and that due notice would be sent to the Petitioner and all other parties concerned. He has also made an endorsement to that effect in the court record.

Since Karthigai Deepam Festival would be taking place shortly, it shall be ensured by the First Respondent that day-to-day hearing of the matter is conducted following the prescribed procedure and after affording full opportunity of personal hearing to the Petitioner and all other persons concerned, a reasoned order is passed dealing with each of the contentions raised on merits and in accordance with law, and the decision taken communicated under written acknowledgement.

In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed on the aforesaid terms. No costs.
