Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issue of Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the Respondents 2 to 4 from allowing the Respondents 5 to 15 to take charge as Board of Directors of H.H.518, Padavedu Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society, Padavedu, Polur Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District.

Heard Mr. R.Neelakandan, Learned Counsel for the Petitioners, Mr. M.S. Palaniswamy, Learned Counsel for the Second Respondent, Mr. L.P.Shanmugasundaram, Learned Special Government Pleader for the Third and Fourth Respondents and Mr. S.Kamadevan, Learned Counsel for the Fifth to Thirteenth Respondents and perused the materials available on record apart from the pleadings of the parties.

The Petitioners are the members of H.H.518, Padavedu Primary Agricultural Co-operative Credit Society, Padavedu, Polur Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District (hereinafter referred to as 'Cooperative Society' for short) and they have on 30.09.2019 filed this Writ Petition seeking to forbear the Second to Fourth Respondents from allowing the Fifth to Fifteenth Respondents to take charge as Board of Directors of the said Society on the ground that the dispute relating to their election was then pending before the First Respondent.

It is informed today that after the filing of the Writ Petition, the First Respondent by order in Complaint No. 127 of 2018 dated 05.10.2019 has upheld the election of the Fifth to Fifteenth Respondent and has directed the Second Respondent to declare the result for the Board of Directors of the Cooperative Society and has further required the election to the office bearers to be conducted within one month from the date of receipt of copy of that order. In view of the subsequent events, nothing remains for further consideration in this Writ Petition.
