The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 5(1), 6(1) of POCSO Act, and 9, 11 of Prohibition of Child Marriage Act in Crime No. 333 of 2023, seek anticipatory bail.
2. The petitioners herein had made arrangement to marry the victim girl, who is aged about 15 years, to the first accused. It is under these circumstances, a complaint was lodged leading to the registration of the First Information Act.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners are only relatives of the first accused.
4. Any marriage is determined only by the relatives and even they should have taken care of the fact that the victim girl is only aged about 15 years and arrangements should not have been made to marry her to the first accused. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
