The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 08.01.2022.

It is the case of the petitioner that he acquired right over the property situated in S.Nos.290/1, 290/3 and 290/5B at Venganthoor Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District, under a settlement deed dated 12.06.1980. It is further stated by the petitioner that the patta in the property was wrongly issued in the name of the third parties. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the second respondent on 08.01.2022 seeking issuance of pata in his name and the same has not been considered. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. A perusal of the representation submitted by the petitioner on 08.01.2022 would indicate the petitioner has not given the description of the property over which he claims right. When the property is not properly described in the representation, it may not be possible for the respondents to consider his request for rectification of the revenue records. 2/5

Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, would submit that the Competent Authority to consider the request of the petitioner to cancel the patta issued in the name of the third parties and issuance of the fresh patta in his favour, is the Revenue Divisional Officer and representation has not been submitted before the Revenue Divisional Officer.

5. In view of the same, this Court is not inclined to issue any direction to the respondents. However, it is open to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation before the Competent Authority by giving full description of the property.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
