ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to take appropriate action on the representation submitted by petitioner on 23.09.2022 and to further direct the respondents to make necessary entries in the Revenue records in respect of the property to an extent of 0.24.5 hectares of punja land in Survey No.473/2 of Salavedu Revenue Village (174) of Tiruvannamalai District.

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is in occupation of the aforesaid property and the same was assigned to the petitioner as per the proceedings in D.K.T 33/96 of the fourth respondent on 27.05.1987. Subsequent to the allotment of the aforesaid property, the petitioner is in continuous possession and doing cultivation in the said property. Further, the Patta was granted to the petitioner, vide Patta No.502 in respect of the aforesaid property and her name was also duly 2/5

entered in the Revenue Records. While so, when updating the Revenue Records in the computer, the third and fourth respondents omitted to enter the petitioner's name in the list of owners of land in Salavedu Revenue village prepared by the respondents. In order to make necessary entry of her name in the Revenue Records, the petitioner made a representation dated 23.09.2022 before the respondents. Since the said representation was not considered by the respondents, the petitioner had filed the present Writ Petition.

Though very many grounds have been raised in this Writ Petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.09.2022 and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no objection for the said order being passed.

5. In view of the above, this Court, without expressing any 3/5

opinion on the merits of the case, directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.09.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other aggrieved person, if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above observations and direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
