O R D E R

Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2019 to appoint the petitioner in the post of P.G. Assistant (History) in 3rd respondent school as per G.O.Ms.No.35, School Education Department, dated 09.02.2007.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he is working as a teacher in K.L.K. Boys Government Higher Secondary School, Gummidipoondi, from 1995 onwards. Though the petitioner worked more than 23 years as P.G. Assistant for VI to X Standards and his appointment was made through Parent Teachers Association, till date, petitioner's service was not regularised. Hence, the petitioner has made representations dated 25.02.2016 and 27.02.2019 to the educational authorities. However, the petitioner's representations were not considered by the respondents till date. Hence this writ petition.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders within the reasonable time.

5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court hereby directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. For ready reference, the petitioner is directed to send a copy of the representation along with the copy of this order to the respondents to enable them to pass appropriate orders.
