ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to return the original driving licence in DL. No. TN41X20040002427 to the petitioner.

2.The petitioner's driving licence was seized by the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) pursuant to the accident occurred on 16.09.2019 and leading to registration of F.I.R.No.168 of 2019 on the file of the Kottapatti Police Station, Dharmapuri.

3.One month has lapsed after the seizure of the driving licence. The RTO so far has not initiated any proceedings under Section 19 of the Motor Vehicles Act. Hence, in view of the direction issued by this Court in W.P.No.26858 of 2019 (S.Lazer Vs. RTO, Tiruppur), dated 26.09.2019, the 1st respondent is directed to return the driving licence forthwith to the petitioner subject to action contemplated, in accordance to law. 4.With the above direction, this Writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
