The petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition, seeking a direction to the fourth respondent to furnish the CCTV Footage print recorded in their CCTV camera in the fourth respondent police station from 13.12.2015 to 16.12.2015 in accordance with law.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor filed a Status Report of Thiru.P.Thirumeni, Inspector of Police, Kinathukadavu Police Station, Coimbatore District, dated 05.01.2017, wherein, at paragraph 12, it has been categorically stated as follows: "It is submitted that earlier the petitioner approached the Right to Information Act on 22.1.2016 to furnish the CCTV Footage print recorded in their CCTV camera in the 4th Respondent Police Station from 13.12.2015 to 16.12.2015. With regard to the above, the then investigation officer has replied that the said records are not available and hence not able to furnish the same. Then, the petitioner made an appeal vide Na.Ka.No.G4/002312/16, Dated:
9.2.2016 before the District Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore District, for which the then Inspector of Police replied on 4.2.2016 stated that it is not possible to furnish since the same was not available."
