Prayer:Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 01.10.2013 and representation dated 10.11.2015, representation dated 18.03.2016 and reminder dated 01.09.2016 by rectifying the mistake in the computer generated patta No.231 and consequently issue a fresh Computer Generated Patta in favour of the petitioner with respect to property situated at S.No.36/3A1B, S.No.36/3B1B in Sri Valli Nagar Layout, Vellerithangal Village, Tambaram Sub-District, Chengalpattu District within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Mr.D.Suriyanarayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 01.10.2013 and representations dated 10.11.2015, 18.03.2016 and the reminder dated 01.09.2016 by rectifying the mistake in the computer generated patta No.231 and consequently, issue a fresh Computer Generated Patta in favour of the petitioner with respect to the property situated at S.No.36/3A1B, S.No.36/3B1B in Sri Valli Nagar Layout, Vellerithangal Village, Tambaram SubDistrict, Chengalpattu District within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said representations have not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the third respondent to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the third respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 10.11.2015, 18.03.2016 & 01.09.2016, after hearing the petitioner as well as the rival claimants and the other interested persons, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the third respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
