This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus forbearing the respondents 1 to 5 to renew or grant new lease to the fifth respondent for carrying out the rough stone quarry operation in the subject property and to take action for violation of the relevant rules and norms, by considering the representation made by the petitioner on 25.06.2025.
2. Heard Mr.N.Manoharan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.E.Vijay Anand, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for 2/4
respondents 1 to 5.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 5 produced the written instructions received from the Assistant Director, Geology and Mining, Tiruppur District. On going through the same, it is seen that the sixth respondent has applied for renewal and it is under consideration and a report has already been submitted by the Revenue Divisional Officer. In view of the same, before the second respondent takes a final decision, the objections given by the petitioner shall be considered and thereafter, a decision shall be taken on its own merits and in accordance with law.
This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
