O R D E R

By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 1st respondent to consider her representation dated 15.03.2023 seeking issue of patta in respect of 2 acres of land situated in Survey No.210/1, Kollaimedu Village, Polur Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District.

It is the case of the petitioner that she has been in possession and enjoyment of the above mentioned property and she submitted a representation before the 1st respondent on 15.03.2023 seeking issue of patta in her name based on her long possession. Subsequently, the 1st respondent vide his proceedings No.xKM4/762603/2023, dated 01.04.2023 directed the 4th respondent to submit a report with regard to the request made by the petitioner. However, the 4th respondent has not submitted any report before the 1st respondent till date. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 15.03.2023 will be considered by the 1st respondent on its own merits and in accordance with law, within the time fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 4th respondent to file his report to the 1st respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The 1st respondent shall consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.03.2023 and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of report from the 4th respondent.

6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
