This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to alter the F.I.R. in Crime No.65 of 2022 for the offences under Sections 498(A), 323, 506(1) of IPC r/w Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act and include the offences under Sections 120(B), 307 of IPC and file the final report. 2.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to alter the charges in the F.I.R. registered in Crime No.65 of 2022.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that if the petitioner appears before the second respondent police and give a statement with regard to the other offences for which the petitioner is now sought a direction, the Investigation Officer can do the needful.

In view of the above, the petitioner is at liberty to appear before the second respondent police and give her additional statement, if any. 6.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
