Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to remove all encroachments, restore status quo ante allowing free flow of water downstream in the water channel adjacent to the petitioner's land, that drains into the lake Chinnaeri.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.M.Jaurudeen, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3 and 5.

2. Leave to implead the Tahsildar, Rasipuram as a party respondent is granted. Registry is directed to carryout necessary amendments in the cause-title.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that on 19.10.2023, inspection/survey would be conducted and if any

encroachment is found, steps would be taken to remove the same.

4. In view of the said submission, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.28436 of 2023 is closed.
