O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by S.VAIDYANATHAN, J) This Contempt Petition has been filed on the ground that the order passed by this Court on 21.09.2020 in W.P.No.9929 of 2020 has not been
complied with.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the Respondents has filed a Status Report of the 2nd Respondent dated 28.08.2023 along with photographs stating that as per the directions of this Court dated 11.07.2023, the Greater Chennai Corporation has demolished/removed all the doors, windows, glasses etc.. Paragraph 5 of the said Status Report, is extracted below:
"5. I respectfully submit that as per the above directions of this Hon'ble Court dated 11.07.2023, the officials of the Greater Chennai Corporation have demolished/removed all the doors, windows, glasses, toilet seats and bidets, kitchen cooking platform, waterline pipes running into domicile from water tank or sump or any other mode to wash basins, kitchen and rest rooms, including the tap/shower in the building at Door No.9, Balakrishnan Street, Nehru Nagar, Errukencherry, Chennai-600 118. Further, the photographs taken at the time of removal of the windows, doors etc., are annexed herewith for your perusal."
3. The learned counsel for the Respondents also submitted that the electricity connection of the building in question has also been
disconnected.
4. In view of the subsequent development, this Contempt Petition stands closed .
