Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to consider and dispose the representation given by the petitioner on 17.05.2024 within a time frame fixed by this Court, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to consider his representation dated 17.05.2024 and pass final orders, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is the owner of the property with an extent of 1960 sq.ft., situated in S.No.242/6A1B (Patta No.18221 at Kottivakkam Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Chennai District. The patta also issued in the name of the petitioner in Patta No.18221. The 2/5

petitioner acquired knowledge that his property is subjected to acquisition proceedings for extension of East Coast Road. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 17.05.2024 seeking details regarding acquisition proceedings and payment of compensation to the affected parties including the petitioner and the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Mr.S.J.Mohamed Sathik, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered, on its own merits, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

5. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to forward the representation of the petitioner dated 17.05.2024 to the third respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The third respondent shall consider the representation of the petitioner and pass final order, on its own merits, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
