O R D E R

The petitioners herein, who are the private respondents in the main W.P.No.11151 of 2022, have come up with this Contempt Petition, seeking to punish the Respondent herein for wilful disobedience of the order dated 06.06.2022 made in W.P.No.11151 of 2022.

2. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioners that, though this Court, vide order dated 06.06.2022 issued direction to the 2nd respondent in W.P.No.11151 of 2022 to pass final orders on the fresh application to be submitted by the Writ petitioner for effecting electricity service connection, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner in W.P.No.11151 of 2022 and the petitioners herein, however, without affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners herein, the respondent/contemnor has effected electricity service connection in favour of the petitioner in W.P.No.11151 of 2022 .

3. However, on perusal of the materials placed on record, it is evident that, already there was a civil dispute in between the petitioners herein and the petitioner in W.P.No.11151 of 2022 and pursuant to the order of this Page No.2 of 5

Court, the respondent/contemnor, after conducting a detailed enquiry, arrived at a conclusion that the petitioner in W.P.No.11151 of 2022 is entitle for Service connection and accordingly, effected Electricity service connection in his favour.

4. In view of the above facts, this Court is of the view that, no wilful disobedience was committed by the respondent / contemnor. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition stands closed.
