O R D E R
This Contempt Petition has been filed for the alleged disobedience of orders of this Court dated 13.10.2022 in WMP No.26205 of 2022 in W.P.No.26989 of 2022.
2. During the last hearing, the steps taken by the respondent with regard to the compliance of the orders has been stated before the Court and a status report also since had been filed during the last hearing, taking note of the same, this Court on 16.08.2023, passed the following order:
"
Pursuant to the last order dated 26.07.2023 today when the contempt petition is taken up for hearing, a status report has been filed by the Sub Inspector of Police, Mangalamedu Police Station, Perambalur District, by which, he has stated that the investigation pursuant to the FIR has already been registered on the alleged incident had completed, 10 witnesses were examined and after thorough investigation, charge sheet was prepared on 11.08.2023. The said charge sheet will be filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kunnam on or before 23.08.2023.
2. Recording the same, two weeks time is granted.
3. Post the matter on 30.08.2023. On that day, the further compliance with regard to the filing of the charge sheet shall be filed by the respondent."
3. Pursuant to the same, today when the case is taken up for hearing, Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader has stated that the charge sheet has been filed and C.C.number has been given. The status report dated 13.09.2023 filed by the Inspector of Police, Mangalamedu Police Station,
Perambalur District reads thus, "
4. I state that a status report was filed on 16.08.2023, stating the above facts. I state that the Fr.No.343/2023 which was filed on 11.08.2023, was taken on file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kunnam on 12.09.2023 and the charge sheet is now numbered as C.C.No.122/2023. I state that the said C.C.No.122/2023 will be listed before the learned Magistrate on 09.10.2023."
4. In view of the said progress made in the investigation and charge sheet also has been filed, which has been taken on file by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kunnam and C.C.number has also been given, this Court feels that no further persuasive action is required to be taken in this Contempt Petition. Recording the same, this contempt petition is closed.
