Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3, for issuance of patta to the petitioner's land situated at Survey No.643/1 to an extent of 1 Acre and 43 cents at Mannar Village, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Sriperumbudur by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 21.11.2016 to the respondents 1 to 3 and to pass further orders.

Heard Mr. V. Viswanathan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. P. Rajeswaran, Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final hearing, in view of the limited prayer.

3. The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition praying to direct the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.11.2016 submitted to the respondents 1 to 3 and issue patta to the petitioner's land situated at Survey No.643/1 to an extent of 1 Acre and 43 cents at Mannar Village, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Sriperumbudur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner company purchased the subject property consisting of 1 Acre and 43 cents out of the entire extent of 13 Acres and 90 cents, vide registered sale deed. The subject property has patta No.716 for the entire land and the petitioner has invested huge money for developing the same. The petitioner applied for issuance of patta in his company's name for the extent purchased by the company, to the third respondent on 03.08.2016 with requisite fees. Inspite of several reminders no action was taken by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner company has come up with this writ petition.

5. Learned Special Government Pleader submitted that if the said application of the petitioner is in order, the same would be considered by the third respondent, in accordance with law.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the third respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 21.11.2016, if it is in order, in accordance with law, by giving reasonable opportunity to the parties concerned and pass orders as expeditiously as possible, not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. The Writ Petition is disposed of, on the above terms. No costs.
