The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 03.09.2024, in connection with the murder of a platform dweller, seeks bail. 1/4

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the investigation in this case has been completed and the final report has already been taken on file by the Court of Sessions pursuant to committal. 3.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner and submitted that the petitioner is a habitual offender having nine previous cases pending against him, out of which one case is for the offence of murder. He further submitted that while the said case is still pending trial, the petitioner has committed the present offence of murder.

4. Considering the conduct of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed for the present.
