ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to appoint an investigating officer as per Rule 7(2) of the SC/ST prevention of Atrocities Rules 1989, in to investigate the case in Crime No.168 of 2025 on the file of third respondent in accordance with law.

2. The petitioner had given complaint against the accused persons and on the basis of the same, the First Information Report has been registered in Crime No.168 of 2025. The grievance of the petitioner is that the Investigating Officer has not been appointed as per Rule 7(2) of the SC/ST prevention of

Atrocities Rules 1989 to investigate the case in crime No.168 of 2025 on the file of the third respondent police.

3. Whereas, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents on instructions submitted that the Deputy Superintendent of Police has been appointed to investigate the case in Crime No.168 of 2025 as per 7(2) of the SC/ST prevention of Atrocities Rules 1989.

4. In such view of the matter let the investigating Officer conduct investigation in a fair manner and file the final report.
