O R D E R

Earlier, this Court by an order dated 09.10.2017 in W.P.No.24753 of 2017 directed the 6th respondent therein to pay the cost of Rs.1 lakh, payable to 'Avvai Home', Adyar, Chennai-20 within a period of two weeks. Alleging that the order has not been complied with within a stipulated period, the present Contempt Petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing, Mr.G.Ethirajulu, learned counsel appearing for respondent submitted that, the respondent had paid the amount of Rs.1 lakh by way of demand draft dated 22.04.2022 to 'Avvai Home', Adyar, Chennai and also produced the xerox copy of the demand draft. Hence, this Contempt Petition may be closed.

3. Considering the fact that, the amount has been now paid to 'Avvai Home', Adyar, Chennai, no further adjudication is required in this Contempt Petition.
